Shop Putnam Buisness & Home Expo is presented yearly by The Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Putnam County, the Putnam County Economic Development Corporation, and the Putnam County Industrial Development Agency, and is the regions preimer showcase of local business and services. Our mission is to promote growth for local businessess and community services enabling Putnam residents and neighboring communities to enhance their economic well-being and quality of life.

We support local schools through scholorships, sponsor community events and organizations such as the Holiday Tree Lighting, Safe Holloween Parade, Youth Art Month, Merchant Street Festival, Youth 4-H Club, Little League Baseball, Boy Scouts, and Horticulture Programs. By fostering partnerships with local residents, businesses, organizations, and the environment we strengthen the social and economic vitality of Putnam County.

The Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce is the largest small business advocacy and networking organization in Putnam County, boasting over 400 members throughout Putnam County and surrounding communitites. The chamber has been a forum for business-to-business networking and contact with community leaders for over half a century.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County provides local access to research and resources of Cornell University enabling people and communitites to enhance their economic well-being and quality of life. Cornell Cooperative Extension builds partnerships with indivduals, communities, organization, goverment agencies, and businessess to: strengthen the social and economic vitality of communities; foster environmental stewardship; and promote positive youth development through 4-H clubs and other youth experiences.

The Putnam Economic Developemnt Corporation and the Putnam County Industrial Development Agency are independent non-profit organizations incorporated under New York law dedicated to fostering economic growth through various programs offered to the Putnam County business community.
